BE the first to experience the first ever Christmas party at the new Great Leighs Racecourse. The hospitality team, run by caterers Sodexo Prestige, have teamed up with Essex Life to offer two lucky readers the chance to win their Christmas party at the racecourse.
Each winner will be able to invite nine guests and the evening will start off with a glass of Champagne on arrival, your own private table overlooking the home straight of the racecourse, a two-course meal served during the race meeting plus a DJ until midnight for the evening meetings. Dates available include the evenings of December 4, 11 and 27 and the afternoon of December 29, 2008.
Great Leighs Racecourse is the first new British racecourse for 81 years and was formally opened to the public on Wednesday, May 28. Costing £40 million in a phased development, it is one of only three floodlit racecourses across the UK, and is the only racecourse in Europe with a planned bolt-on equestrian park.
The world leaders in hospitality, Sodexo Prestige, have signed a 20-year-deal with Great Leighs to be the sole providers of all the food and beverage at the racecourse. The Moulshams Hospitality Restaurant is trackside and opens directly onto the terrace viewing area and has its own large screen closed-circuit TV showing the live action. The restaurant focuses on British food sourced as locally as possible.
Not only does the racecourse offer racing all year round, but it provides the residents of Essex with leisure and business opportunities. A total of 430 acres has been acquired by the owner and promoter John Holmes providing businesses the ideal outdoor space for corporate events, meetings and conferences.
If you aren’t lucky enough to win this fantastic prize, but would still like to come Christmas racing with your friends and family, you can find out more about Great Leighs here.
